Lorient's Commitment to Quality and Certification

It’s critical that fire safety products are proven to perform in the event of a fire – particularly fire doors, which fulfil a life-saving role. Product certification signifies a manufacturer’s commitment to go above minimum market requirements. Lorient products carry high levels of product performance backed by not only extensive test evidence, but also a large number of third-party accreditation schemes – independently verifying – amongst other things – their fitness for purpose.

Christian Cook, our Quality Manager, oversees Lorient’s third-party accreditations and certifications, including CERTIFIRE, BBA, UL, and IFC, as part of our unwavering commitment to excellence. Recently, we successfully completed several audits, including BSI for both quality and environmental standards, as well as audits for BBA, IFC, and Certifire.

Christian shared:

“Our high-performance sealing systems are used in a wide range of safety-critical environments, such as hospitals, care homes, schools, and high-rise apartments. Our customers rely on our products to keep people safe & property protected in the event of a fire. That’s why quality assurance is essential, ensuring our products meet stringent specifications and performance requirements.

We’re thrilled with the recent audit feedback. Achieving zero non-conformances across all five certification audits highlights our team’s dedication to quality assurance. The auditors commended our proactive problem-solving, the many implemented improvements, and our continuous drive for excellence. This is a true team effort, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of this ongoing journey.”
